Raised and sterilized RA's. No more catching them on curbs while parking

Just did the install on my OBS. Came out great. Had to modify the fronts, as you have to with all 06/07 wagons

question for those of you who installed flaps on a WRX hatch. I'm picking up my 14 WRX hatch next week and want to get some flaps for it. I have Flapatax on my current Legacy and gorilla on my Forester. The Gorilla are definately better IMHO.

I like that the Rally Armors have the mounting brackets so you don't have to drill any holes or mod the vehicle in any way. Can someone let me know if any of the other options require any modifications? I'm mainly looking at DRT Components, Rally Armor and Gorilla

This may not answer your question but I have the RA's on my 2011 wrx hatch and I love them. They do their job and like you said, they come with brackets. Now the only downside is that they are a little floppy but that's okay.and be careful when you back up because those back brackets can bend easily and mess up the alignment on the flaps

Thanks. I don't like how flappy the RA are so I decided to give Drt components a go. I'll post up how the install goes.

Default DIY help

I bought all the hardware from lowes but am having trouble installing my mudflaps. I bought RA universal mud flaps. Do you need to drill holes into the fender to install the mudflaps? im trying to install the front ones first.

Does anyone have any extra tips for making a bracket to mount front flaps?
Right now it seems like my only option is to tie into the 2 mounts holding the side skirts on and used a spacer with a longer bolt for the insert in the middle and then just using a self tapping screw into the innermost part of the wheel well but I just want to make sure I'm not missing an obvious solution.

Do a 2005 impreza have the same pattern as a 2005 legacy for the holes?

I was thinking Rally Armor but in general don't like big mud flags. Prefer stock splash guards like on my Nissan Xterra although they are solid. I guess mud flaps provide more blockage for things.

Question. What was involved with this and how much did these run?

Does Subaru make stock splash guards for the WRX/STI (2008-2014)?
