I miss read the quote, I thought Englishguy had posted that and was talking to me saying, "my tuner" which did not make sense to me because we are so far apart.

Im on spring break and have lost most my common sense for the week

I am looking for a good turbo upgrade on my 08 wrx sedan.
I was thinking the 20 g , or should I go with that XTR. I M running stage 2 Perrin turbo back exaust with access port. I want at least 350 whp . How much. Can the stock block handle.

It's not the block you have to worry about, it's the transmission.

I know of the 3 people on 3gwrx.com who have blown their motors befire their transmission. I only know of 1 guy who blew his transmission on there. There is also people running 375 whp on stock block/clutch/transmission so I think it all depends on the tune a your driving style. I have been told that anything more than 350 whp on a wrx is pushing the limits and reliability of the stock motor. I don't think the 08+ transmissions are as weak as people think

If it is the same as 09 WRX then no, it is not the same as the old WRX 5-speeds. It is the same as the 05+ LGT tranny, and has taken in excess of 400 whp reliably for many people.

That being said, it is not as stout as the STI 6-speed.

I had it for alomst a year before it died on the dyno. Otherwise was very impressive if your goal is to stay under 350-375 WHP. It loved aquamist too...and was quick sppoling even without it...

It's a $100 option. I also got the turbine housing thermal coated.

Getting a black compressor housing is now an option too. I think they came thay way when first released.

he said he would post or pm back tomorrow

I asked about dyno graph, psi, full boost, and how much he left on the table by not going fmic

also I'm guessing 93 octane since he's back east.

My opinion is that there is a lot left due to not going FMIC they stopped due to heat soak, and it was around 82 degrees here yesterday.

350 wtq and 3k!!!! Is that because it's a Forester, because of the 4eat or the turbo???

It makes me glad that I have a FMIC and the 3.0XTR. Unless my results are a lot lower than I expect. His tune was on a mustang dyno also, with a very conservative tuner.
