Default Built 2.5 Rallispec block, AMR T60R, STi Mikey tuned... NOW WITH MORE 35R!!

Event:[/color] Dyno Pull
Location: THESHOPCT | Norwalk, CT
Ambient Temp: 60?
Elevation: sea level

Car: 2007 STi
Tuner: JR
Dyno Info: Dyno Dynamcis @ 1.2CF
Peak HP at RPM: 381 @ 6800
Peak Torque at RPM: 330 @ 4400
Baseline hp/tq for a stock on same dyno: 240WHP
Target Boost: 18.5PSI
Target AFR: 11.0
Fuel: 93 unleaded
Driveline Modifications: Clutch Master Stage 3 + flywheel
Engine/Power Modifications:
Rallispec built 2.5 block
-Weisco pistons (99.5mm)
-Manley rods
-Cosworth bearings
-2010 black crank
-2010 oil pick up, oil pan, oil pump, water pump
-Heads decked ~ .008- .010''
-ARP headstuds

AMR-T60R Turbocharger (60lb/min, ported hotside, ported & polished cold side, coated snail)

Maddad headers
Maddad 3 bolt upipe
Tial 38mm EWG & dump tube
APS 3'' TBE
APS hard 3'' inlet, SPT intake / Perrin Big Maf
D-werks 850's
Turbo XS FMIC
Ecutek / Openecu Junior tune

Other: Tein coilovers, AEM boost and wideband, 7'' screen........

I left my office anticipating a nice break in tune. Needless to say, other things happened

I got there with the SPT on the car. Junior literally had the car down on the first pull. 300 whp pulling to 7500, no knock. Second pull, 350. Third, 380whp and out of MAF.

We decided to continue, and for that I owe Jimmy and Junior many of Peepee touches, as my big maf was 40min away and it was already 7PM.

I was so excited, the car sounded and pulled great. I got back to the shop and put the maf intake on.

AND THEN: My tactrix cable failed
And the car resides, on the dyno, with a dead ECU. Junior just looked at me and shook his head, BUILTSTI was the one pulling the car and couldnt believe it either (and couldnt believe he had to drive me 40 minutes home

Anyways, I am very thankful in the fact that the car was blowing no oil, and that the pulls were healthy. As far as the tune, well, the only thing I will say about the timing is there barley is any, haha!

As a reference, 367whp tapering to 350@ redline yielded me a best ET of 12.01 and best MPH of 114.xx
BUILT will have the graphs up tonight

Sounds like good power at low boost with a conservative 93 tune!! right on! I made that kind of power at 21-22 psi RSL, with agressive timing and aggressive AFR's That thing you have breathes!

Are you going to hit the quarter at this psi?
I am very tempted to take mine and I am only at 15 psi. My tuner wont be back for another week or two.

If 315 whp can get you 117-118 traps, then my car right now has 315whp....oh wait, right now my car has zero whp, on every dyno

John made 458 on pump. I'll make 430-440. There is no timing in it yet dont forget.

7cm is a little weak, but this one held power out past 7k. With John's set up he should make 20-30 more on pump, he has crzy heads and 5 lb/min more on the turbo.

It still should be fun. 440= 121 traps and = 375 @1.0.

It's all a test, isn't it Mikey? I know how you feel.

Your carrot is dangling right in front of you. ....juuuuust out of reach.

You're going to rock this week, I'm certain. (Me too!)

Good stuff.

Wow Mikey that was quick turn around from a crapped out stock motor to badass build with a 60lb/min turbo set-up

Congrats!! Can't wait to see what times you can get out of this beast.

Can I ask what landed you on this particular turbo?

It's a quality piece that made over 500whp on my car. We made a decision to go to an HTA35R on mine, and this was made available to my buds.... He's gonna love it.

Congrats on the preliminary results and that the motor is tight. Sucks about the ECU, but just another step in the process.

No point really. That was with the stock maf, the big maf is on the car now.

There are two options as of now for the ECU. Either Junior can restore by refreshing my current ecutek license, or Jimmy can lend me one while mine is sent out to tactrix. The car is in their hands so its not my call, but all aside the car should resume pulling on friday.

Ill get it to the track on pump gas before the end of the season, then race gas next spring if all goes well.
