Default Cheapest insurance around here?

Okay, so who's got the best rate on their insurance? I need to switch over my two cars within the next 30 days and would like to get a good deal.

Thanks!

I work in auto insurance and I can tell you that it is too hard to compare what someone else pays to what you pay. It only takes one difference out of a 100 rating factors to make a major rate difference. But I pay $91 a month. you got 30 days that is plenty of time to do qoutes online and call around. I would be happy to answer any questions you have about insurance though.

Well, I guess the assumption would be a 32 year old male driver, no tickets (although one is about to show up in a week! ) and a otherwise spotless record. Licensed since age 15, no wrecks, no claims, no nothing.

Insurance is basically a waste of money for me.

Geez what is up with my posting today? It's double and TRIPLE posting for me!

I lay the blame squarely on our stupid slow work internet connection. I am lucky to get a 10kbs connection (yes, less than half a 28.8 modem!) on our T1.

Anyone else - like Progressive or Geico or ... someone I have not heard of who offers coverage in Aurora?

Check with State Farm, Allstate, American Family, Farmers, Progressive. If your credit is good that will help your rates too. Just make sure when you get qoutes they all use the same coverage.

$550 for 6 months through Country Companies. Next cheapest was $1800 from Geico. I have several speeding tickets which apparently was a big deal to some insurance companies. 28 year old married male. You should be able to get cheaper.

Here is my advice... F' switching your insurance to Colorado. I just switched my insurance from CA to CO, and it DOUBLED .

I will be switching it back to some other state soon....

I am with Geico, and I pay over $300 per month. I had found them the best in CA, but I sure as hell am paying a lot here.

Colorado is one of the highest in the country. Especially Co springs and Denver area.

They do it to try and dissuade all the Califurnians and Texans from migrating here. Unfortunately it does not seem to be working judging by the ski traffic on I-70 these past two seasons and the sharp rise in commuter traffic on that route and C470...

Denver is crying out for an extensive rail transportation system, not some half-a$$ed attempt as with the T-Rex. Of course all the myopic suburbanites voted out the monorail: "We never travel into the mountains, blah blah whine blah.." Yeah, sure you don't.

easy there pace... hahaha... I will be out of your precious state in a few months. I guess there are a few natives of Colorado still here.

Can't wait for the lower insurance...

I have FAR from a perfect driving record. WHen I went from USAA to Progressive my insurance was halfed from like $2300/6 months to $1200/6 months for my 99 Prelude and a 85 Toyota 4x4 pickup.

Now that I have my 02 WRX and pickup I pay about $950/6 months. Not too bad considering I got 3 tickets just this last year, only one for speeding, one for not using signal to lane change, and one "headlight defective" dropped down 9 over speeding ticket. I think I probably still have about 4-5 on my 3 year record though. I am, 26, single, live in Springs.

Although I actually do have some strong opinions regarding the mass migration to Colorado, and the poor transportation system etc. I was primarily just yanking your chain. Don't sweat it. After all, I AM a native..... of London, England.

Have a good one.

Undertow - Give Country Companies a call. Seriously, a couple of folks at work here just called them on my advice and their quotes were about 33% of what they are currently paying.

Good luck.

I pay about $660 / 6 months for coverage on my RS and on my CRX.

Give John Schaefer a call at Richards Seeley & Schaefer Inc (303) 429-3561

He is a great guy and he was able to drop my payment a TON from what Geico was offering.

GEICO seem to be one of the most expensive; at least here in CO anyway.

Pace, do you have a phone number/web site for Country Companies? Or what city are they in?

I might give them and that guy above a call.
