Update! P&L Motorsports STI goes 9.5 @153Mph 2.5L+42R

For the first time in about a month the weather in chicago was decent enough on the weekend to go to the track. We decided last minute to take the drag car aka "donkey kong" out of hibernation. We literaly did not take the car out of the trailer since our last track outing 2 months ago. All we did was change the oil and plugs at 1am before leaving in the morning. Congrats to Fast Eddie on a great job behind the wheel. We did about 5 runs all but 2 were all in the 9.5-9.8 range. Track conditions were not ideal, tires spining on top of 1st and 2nd and really windy. We touched nothing since our last outing in terms of boost all we did at the track was tweek the antilag a bit and Fast Eddie tried a diffrent shifting strategy we have been discussing. Still on 28psi 680 hp and bone stock out of box 6spd. We have a total of 40 passes on the motor and esentially everything else. I belive "I thing" this make us the fastest mph STI using a stock gearbox in a quarter mile. All in all we are very happy with the car this year and gives us a great end to the 09 season.

I really don't think so. P&L sells a modified 2008 STi oil pump. I would bet that is what they are running.

In the old video they were running an 07 6-speed. Can't believe the MPH they are getting out of this car... and how the heck do you get down to 2750lbs? Mine is 3155, I can't imagine pulling another 400lbs out of it.

I know I have a Cusco 1.5 in mine along with ESX's old axles. I know they did 9.5's with it to but with a 4EAT so was very curious as to when that diff (ET,Weight) will give up

the car is all cut up.....It looks like poop...then again it strictly is a drag car.

^^^^^^^ouch^^^^^^ that hurts my feelings! We had very limited amounts of time to work on the car. Our main concern is to get customer cars finished. I still think function over form prevails. I"ll leave the "pretty" to u bud.

Good stuff.

I'm also curious about the R160. Are you running an upgraded R&P?
