Default The Rear Apron & Spats Thread

Searched around and couldn't find a thread dedicated to rear aprons. Always thought they looked great on. Post em up!

Also post:
-Where you ordered them.
-How easy/hard to install.
-As well as any photos on the install process!

Ordered them: japanparts.com
install: easy. But when I got them painted I had the body shop do it.

Has anyone taken them off after having them on for awhile? Was there any damage to your bumper??

Got this OEM rear lip/apron/diffuser/whatever it's called off the private classifieds. Install was easy, a couple of bolts and some 3m tape .

Sorry, this is a crappy pic. Got the smaller side skirt spats on the way, so I'll get some better ones later.

Oh yeah, got these from FastWRX.com and painted by a body shop. Fitment wasn't 100%. Had to drill out the mounting holes a little bit and buy some better 3M tape than what came with it. Still happy though.

Get your facts straight before posting misinformation. 04-05 tails fit the 02-03 with ZERO modification to the bumper. All I did was remove the rubber-like backing from the overhanging part of the tail lights.

yea i thought you have to cut it too. the bump from the tails. the way you did it sorta looks like its not sitting flush with the taillight. seems like its just a straight line from the tip of the bump.

Trust me, the part that overhang isn't a problem. The tail fits as good as it can, and the overhang doesn't restrict fitment at all. The problem on the bugeye bumpers is the inside lower corner. That's where the bumpers are a little bit different (besides the opening for the lower circular part) and it isn't perfectly flush, but unnoticeable unless you are right up beside it.

Aprons always go well with wingless.

Not sure if i'd like it on my ~stock STi. I have wrx side skirts and v-limited rep. front lip. Also lowered on Tokico D-Spec and Tanabe GF210 srpings.

..heres a pic of it.
