Default Subaru GM Bellhousing Adapter

I'm going to have a bell housing adapter machined so that I can bolt up GM transmissions to my Subaru engine. Would anyone else be interested in one of these?

How about using it to stick an LSx on an STI tranny? I read a writeup on ls1tech about a guy who went to a whoooole lot of trouble to do an AWD LSx swap (and it still isn't finished). I've been wondering if an LS could be made to fit to mate to the stock transmission location.

Lol, if you're going to the effort to eliminate the AWD on your subaru, you may as well just swap the motor with a $500 LSx out of a truck.

I agree that it would be far more profitable....and really sweet to do the reverse and machine up bellhousings to swap an LSX to the STI 6mt rather than a t56/other Tremecs to the EJ's. I would be first in line to combine V8 torque, sound, and capabilities to Subie AWD.

^ YES! what a combination, I've been waiting for someone to offer something like this. Just maybe the affordability of something like an LS1 would cancel out the ridiculous cost of the STI 6-speed, but the trouble of the LS1 swap would still be a pain...maybe as a second, long term project

I'm definitel interested, what's the status on this now? I have an SVX I would love to convert to RWD. I pick up a GM transmission automatic or manual for dirt cheap! and they are super easy to modify. especially T5 or T 56

I would buy that adapter so fast as long as the lsx fits where the ej sits
