Default Purple Engine Cleaner

Hello all,
i bought some engine cleaner not too long ago at kragen. I forgot the exact name of the stuff but it was in a purple spray bottle and the liquid was purple also. The guy told me the stuff worked great but after using it like it said, i noticed it turned most of my plastics white and looked like it was corroding all my parts. Can this stuff do some serious damage? Thanks.

yeah, it's not meant for under-hood plastics.
Simple Green Motorsports(TM) EXTREME(TM) will work better for that.

Doubt it. It should come off with water.

Default "Purple"

Theres a brand called "Purple" and its a hardcore cleaner, eats almost anything. i use it for oily, greasy parts. but simple green is the best most commonly used cleaner; it will eat away the clear coat on your car, so dont get it on your paint.
