I started a new job about a month ago and finally got around to cleaning out the desk from the last person that had it, who only had it for two months, and the person before that is completely unknown. My desk gets around, lets say. My boss came two days after I started my job, so he's new too.

So. I found a old school looking Polaroid camera in it. I took it to my boss and asked him what he wanted me to do with it. He said throw it away. I asked him if I could keep it, he said sure.

I'm guessing he's thinking this is some old ancient piece of equipment and he has this new nifty little silver pocket size camera on his desk for the office. So I took it home and I looked it up on Amazon.

Amazon.com: Polaroid One-Step 600 Instant Camera: ElectronicsAmazon.com: Polaroid One-Step 600 Instant Camera: Electronics

It's a $200 camera. It's empty of film, and that's a bummer because it costs 30 dollars for 10 exposures.

But, I'm having an issue. Do I tell my boss that it's a $200 camera that he might need to check isn't owned by my company and someone might come looking for it? Or should I keep it and have some fun with it?

Oh the moral dilemma!

No way those things are worth that. I've used those, and they're nothing to write home about.

The reviews even say they don't stand up to any camerass out there... but it seems like it woulld be a fun camera cause its so simple, automatic and old school.

I don't want to sell it, I want to keep it...

I didn't know you could even still buy those new.

Not that I'd want one but they were like magic when I was 5.

I bought almost the same camera for $17 a couple months ago. Don't think that's worth $200.

I'll sell it to you for 20! lol

I'm keeping it anyway, so the value of it isn't important to me keeping it, but IF it is that expensive... My boss might want to know.

I'm just gonna have some fun with it, and if any questions are ever asked about it, I'll tell whoever he let me take it home and that I still have it.

That.

And I echo the post about thinking those things were magic when I was a kid.

I'll never forget the beating I got for blowing an entire flash-bulb stick and "box" of film in my grand-dads.
