I've been doing lots of reading but I can't get a definite answer so I'm hoping some of the experts here can help me.
I've got a 2002 WRX Wagon with the following mods: Perrin Turbo Inlet K&N Panel Filter Grimmspeed Crosspipe STi Catless Upipe Perrin Lightened Pulley Cobb Downpipe w/ cat 04 STi Cat-back exhaust I've got a bone stock tune with the exception of launch control that I added. I know the grimspeed crosspipe adds a lot of noise and what-not, but I'm worried I have an exhaust leak around my upipe, possibly up where it meets the turbo, or possibly in the middle as it's rusted and the heat shield is loose (stupid move by me before install which caused the rust). I just took a learning view and while everything is within the 2% range, I don't understand why it's adding fuel down low and then taking it away up top. Any ideas? Could it point to a leak anywhere in the system? Also- the sti muffler sometimes bangs on the stupid trailer hitch (got to get rid of that!)... any chance that could get picked up as knock? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer! ![]() ![]()

im no expert on the matter, but looking at the flkc i may try to add fuel in the 1400 to 2600rpm range at .9 to 1.1 load or pull a little timing in that area, not sure on the a/f learning though.

The A/F Learning isn't bad but you can rescale the MAF if you want to get it tighter. Be careful though since you can easily make it worse. Also how long did you drive the car before you ran the learning view? if you haven't driven it much since a reset or flash there may not be enough data stored to give a good reading.
You should tune out the low rpm FLKC around 1.0 load, I have a problem with knocking in that area too that im working on. |

Thanks.
I'm not sure how far I drove after resetting. I think maybe 60-70kms... not much. I took another look when I got to work this morning and the numbers have changed (for the better I think). I'm going to have to read up on the maf scaling more before I edit the rom. Here's the current learning view: ![]() |
