I am trying to get my bicycle painted and wanted to know if anyone has any friends that are automotive painters and would spray the bike and fork for resonably cheap.
I found a guy who will powder coat it for $40, but my fork is CF, so that cannot be powder coated. Feel free to PM. Thanks!

take the headset out and fork off. then PC it. The PC will last longer, and take more abuse.

Yeah, that's what I wanted to do, but as I mentioned the fork is carbon fiber, and you cannot powder coat that...or so I've been told. The bike would look silly with the fork stock painted with logos on it and the rest of the bike a different color.

oh, I thought the fork was carbon, and looked like carbon. I didn't know the fork was painted carbon. I have heard you can PC anythign that can hold a static charge. I have not tried to PC carbon, but I would be willing to try

Do you think that the heat used to bake the powder on would comprimise the resin in the carbon |

I have no idea. I was taking to a guy at the SEMA show from wagner who was claiming he ca PC anything, as long as it can hold a static charge. I am no expert on resins RJ should pipe up. He is the master. I am willing to try
