Default Slight Ticking on Cobb Stg 1 map

06 STi-
Has anyone had this problem on the stg 1 91 oct map?
I just ran the map on Sunday and noticed this morning a slight tick just before boost kicks in. Once im in boost, i cant hear it over the turbo but as soon as i come back down its there again.

I searched iwsti and there really was no conclusion
Anyone else have that issue?
thanks!

a slight tick could be one of the compressor blades hitting the compressor housing???? how is it boosting? like normal? slow spool?

The spool is still strong as ever! Thats what i baffling me here. I read a few other places that people were having the same problem, examples were: Wastegate flutter, up pipe gasket blown, exhaust leak etc.
Im going to check peak boost tonight when i get home, but its pulling like it should and not hesitating at all
under acceleration in 1st & 2nd from take-off till about 3k rpm or so is about the time that i can hear it.

Could Be An Exhaust Leak But I Dont Think So Since You Still Have The Stock D.p., To Me It Doesnt Sound Like Wastegate Flutter But I Cant Hear It So Idk. Got A Vid?

Il get a vid up shortly, im not even quite sure if its loud outside of the car? If you sitting in the car, it sounds as if its comming from the passenger side inside the engine bay.

question, what kind of intake?

if its a aps (or probably any other kind that goes into the fender) its probably the intake moving the metal that it goes through into the fender. my car makes that sound sometimes.

and then if not that, i would say predetonating could be your problem, my car was predetonating on the cobb map so i had to get a tune by cody! PM me for his number if you'd like

if neither of those, no idea

Have you tried uninstalling the AccessPort and seeing if it's still present? Or datalog using the AccessPort when it happens then post the results here; we'd be able to tell you if it's tune related or mechanical.

Anyone else running the Stage 1 ACN map? flashed to that this afternoon and the car runs 10x smoother. Even at idle it makes such a difference. Wel see tomorrow morning if the ticking is there...
