Once again I feel that it is time to put the word out to see if there is interest in my ’99 RSTi. The last time it didn’t go so well but that was b.c the car was not in drivable condition. Things have changed since then and the car has been running in tip top shape since Feb ’09, unfortunately other things in my life have also changed and it is really time to let go of my love.

1999 Silverthorne Metallic 2.5RS coupe with a Version 5 STI EJ207 Swap. There is 164k on the chassis and ~40k on the motor itself and ~45k on the driveline. The car is lien free and I have the clean title in hand. I am located in the Cincinnati, Ohio/ Northern Kentucky area if anyone would like to come check it out in person.

I can not take credit for building the important parts of this car but the guy (Charles - 992.5RS) that did the swap in the car did a very good job down to every last detail. He put a lot of time and love into it, his build thread can be found here. The head gaskets, cam seals, crank seal, timing belt, spark plugs and gaskets, valve cover gaskets, water pump, intake manifold gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, up pipe gaskets, downpipe gaskets, exhaust gaskets, valve cover gasket and timing belt were replaced about a year and a half ago. The car has had around 7-8k miles on it since and hasn’t leaked a single drop of fluid and runs really strong. The interior has mint JDM V7 STi front and rear seats, Alpine headunit w/Sirius radio and a v3 Nardi steering wheel.

Since I bought the car in Feb ’08 I have replaced the radiator, upgraded the rotors and pads, purchased engine management and replaced all 4 tires, upgraded to an 05 WRX driveline as well as replacing other odds and ends and have done routine maintenance on it even though it is not driven daily. I have a maintenance log for the car from the day the previous owner bought it up till today. It starts on 4-15-06 and 129,555 miles and states everything that has been done to the car to date. Even though I live in the Cincinnati area the car hasn’t seen snow except to pull it out of the garage for pics as it was a southern car and I have not found any rust on the body at all.

My loss is your gain, I love this car but I am willing to let it go in order to help my family be better off in the long run. If you are the type that doesn’t trust someone else’s work like you would your own then you are just like me, and this is the car for you. The details that went into this car are amazing, and it is worth a lot more then I am asking.
