Default Take the AccessPORT Challenge at COBB Tuning Surgeline

COBB Tuning takes engine tuning very seriously. So seriously, in fact, that we are introducing the COBB AccessPORT Challenge. We will put the AccessPORT up against ANY other tuning solution out there. Regardless of who or what you are using to tune your vehicle today, we believe you will prefer the results that the AccessPORT provides!

The concept is simple. Visit COBB Tuning Plano or COBB Tuning Surgeline, purchase an AccessPORT and allow our Calibration Specialists to custom tune your ECU at no additional charge. Once the tune is complete, take your car out for a spin to feel the the results and use the AccessPORT. If you are unsatisfied in any way, we will refund the cost of the AccessPORT and return your car to the same setup you arrived with.

COBB Tuning is an automotive engineering company specializing in OEM ECU engine tuning. We develop our own hardware and software tuning tools to meet the tuning needs of the most demanding enthusiasts. We are so confident that you will appreciate the improved performance, driveability, responsiveness and features of the AccessPORT that we will stake your business on it!

So what have you got to lose? Call COBB Tuning Plano or COBB Tuning Surgeline today to schedule your COBB AccessPORT Challenge and experience why the AccessPORT is superior to all other tuning solutions . Our goal is to have you leave us knowing you have the best tuning solution money can buy. We guarantee it!

Some restrictions apply. See stores for details. Offer only valid on new AccessPORT purchases from COBB Tuning Plano or COBB Tuning Surgeline from November 13, 2009 through December 31, 2009. Custom dyno tune may only be performed by COBB Tuning Plano or COBB Tuning Surgeline. Offer may not be combined with the AccessPORT Trade-In Program or any other discounts, coupons or price-matching advertisements. Additional restrictions may apply.

"custom tune your ECU at no additional charge"

what does this mean exactly? road tune? dyno tune? or just tweaking with a base map a bit?

You mention dyno tuning in that last paragraph, if this is essentially a dyno tune for free with purchase of an AP...sign me up!

hmmm, well, like it says in the ad, what does anyone really have to lose? the way i see it, it's pretty fail-safe and almost seems like an essentially free way to try out a COBB map and etermine whether or not you will actually want to go down that road for you're own personal tuning needs/wants/desires.

-take car in
-buy accessport
-get free tune
-try it out
-say you don't like it with a good excuse as to why
-have tune removed
-get money refunded
-walkaway knowing what it feels like in order to possibly make a better choice later

It is a full-length normal dyno tuning session with Tim Bailey on our AWD Mustang Dyno! No gimmicks, no base map tweaking, no dangerous road tuning. Buy the AccessPORT, get the tune FREE.

To sign up, just call the shop or stop on by!

That is what I was hoping you'd say! I will definitely be taking advantage of this sale before it goes away!!!

For the record, this deal is taking me away from doing an opensource on my car...so your plan seems to be working

Hmmm.... Does this work with the AP v1 trade in, and can we add parts before we do the tune? (injectors, boost solenoid, spark plugs, external wastegate setup?)

I know this. Dr. Tim (I spoke with him) can't Pro-tune the 2010 STI until Cobb finishes figuring out/writing the map. The delay is Cobb.

What if you have a JDM ECU? I heard rumors of JDM AccessPorts floating around out there, any truth to that?

I understand your frustrations and can assure you that we are working extremely hard to release support the for new 2010 models with the same level of quality and features that our customers have come to expect. Though not as manic as Nissan, Subaru does make significant changes virtually every year and 2010 brought about a new set of challenges. Thank you for your patience

The AccessPORT is sold by Prova and Cusco in Japan and is intended for JDM market vehicles. So yes, they exist. Come see us if you find one

The 09 WRX has really proven itself to be an excellent performer and the torque curve on E85 is bananas. Give us a call and we'll get your scheduled!

I take that to mean "good effing luck finding one", haha. Is there not a reseller of JDM versions in the US? Also, hypothetically speaking if I DID find one, can the language be switched to English (assuming its in Japanese)?

Hey Lance,
Are you open Friday?
I have 2 cars that would love to take the Accessport challenge. One is a 05 STi and the other is mine, an 08 STi.
I would like to set up an appointment for the middle of Dec. Needs to be on a Friday either the 11th or the 18th.
The '05 is in need of TGV's, and intake swap.

Open Friday? If so I will call you.

Basically Prova and Cusco have the distribution rights for the JDM AccessPORT though it seems like you could theoretically order one from them in Japan and have it shipped here. I'm guessing the cost of all of that is why more people haven't done it in the past. I'm not quite sure on the language issue but I will make an inquiry for you!

Excellent! We are closed for business Friday (11/27) but we'll be in and out working on some projects so someone may be available to answer the phone. We will be open for business as normal on Saturday (10am-4pm). As of now, there is an afternoon tune appt available for the 11th and the 18th is wide open.

We stock the JDM TGV delete housings and the COBB SF Intake and Airbox combo. Gimme a shout on Saturday and we'll get everything worked out!

Back to the food I go Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Regards,
Lance
