I would advise not to.

New Zealand is currently constructing a watertight wall to run the length of the Australian coastline and is going to run a standard diameter hosepipe and a water pump from the Pacific into the Northern Territories.

Actually given the quality of the immigants we have these days i guess it couldnt be too bad, as long as you stay over east. You mericans with ure "why cant i buy a pineapple at 2 in the morning" rants, seriously who wants anything after 6pm stores dont need be open all the time.... do they.... do they?

edit: what u want a wall for then you wouldnt be able to cruise back and forth as you pleased all the time.
