Default Projects and more from Akuma

Hey everyone,

We've been laying low on the forums as of late, largely due to the fact that we have some major projects on our plate and are trying to get them finished up and ready to display to the community. Because the Suby community has given us a great deal of support since our opening, we'd like to give back in the form of a sneak peak!!

To start off:

2010 R-35 Akuma Stage 2 Package
An awesome guy with a gorgeous R-35 came to us wanting a little more out of his GTR... well he got it!

We at Akuma were very pleased with the out come, but not as much as the owner!! He'll be back very soon for our signature Meth kit and our turbo upgrade!!!

2009 Mazdaspeed 3:

We have two going on as we speak. One is a motor build that already is a potent ride. The other is an ongoing process in which the owner is trying to built the ultimate street MS3. We have already completed his entire exhaust including manifold, direct injection pump, inlet, intake, front mount, motor mounts, sway bars, and springs. He still has a bunch on the plate including brakes and possibly a methanol kit. He is ecstatic with the progress thus far.

2004 Sti:

Another excellent customer. Recently bought his STI and went from stock to not at the speed of light. We put in an HTA68, custom front mount, fuel upgrades, and a tune! Before picking the car up he had already decided he wanted more! We are now in the process of a sleeved block, CNC ported heads, HTA 35r, HFS-6, coilover suspension, sway bars, etc etc. This will be one to look out for guys.

2006 Sti:

We're sort of picking this project up and bringing it in the direction that the owner wanted to go all along. Again, built motor, custom rotated kit with a precision 6262, cnc'd heads, cams, valves, springs, retainers, custom front mount, etc etc.

These are the Akuma-spec CNC ported heads with enlarged valves, springs, retainers...

John @ Akuma's 08 STI:

John's car has been an ongoing project/ test car. Cosworth motor, the heads will have the Akuma-spec port, valves, springs, retainers, killer b oil pan with upgraded pick-up, custom rotated FP 35r, cosworth formula 1 style ecu, custom front mount, Kyb coilovers aligned by suspension guru Robert Fuller (aka robi Spec), cusco bracing and lateral links, whiteline bushings, Hfs-6 methanol injection, etc etc. This is promising to be a monster!!

2006 Wagon:

We took this project for the customer and have together been building it into quite a ride. Built 2.5 with headwork. Hydra 2.6 ems, methanol injection, precision 67mm turbo, custom front mount, carbonetic lsd, carbon fiber hatch, rs hood, etc etc. There have been plenty of bugs to be worked out with this project but we're nearing the finish line and this will be another car to look for!

Gt-rr/ Akuma R-35 car 1:

At one point (if it still isn't) the most modified r35 in the country. This bad boy has too much going on to list. But one highlight would be Akuma's "race-model" turbo upgrade. This is one of, if not the most powerful R35s in the world.

Akuma's Godzilla project:

This customer came to us with his 2009 R35 and asked us to build his vehicle to be the ultimate track car while keeping some street mannerisms. So we designed what we feel will be an excellent performer! Akuma's "street-style" turbo upgrade, fuel upgrades, full braking and suspension, esprit front mount, mine's titanium cat back, akuma down and y-pipes, forge actuators, akuma intakes, hks evc, cobb accessport, robi-spec alignment and corner balance, a professional ecu calibration by John Shafer etc etc.

-----

So in conclusion, we have some big things to keep an eye out for over the next few weeks. I kept a few things secret, but I assure they'll be out of the bag when the time comes. We will update this post as updates are available. We will do our best to answer any questions or comments as quickly and efficiently as possible, but cut us a little slack, as we're pretty busy!!

Cheers,

The team at Akuma Motorsports

Any chance you have a Deer Park water-bottle cap you could shove in those intake ports?

I may be out of the loop on this but are you looking for a size comparison? Lol. Does it have to be deer park. We'll find somethin to give a reference point a take a pic.

Haha, yep. Just one of the little plastic water bottle caps. That seems to be the standard for port size comparison. For reference, the cap will get lodged mid-way down a lot of ported intake ports.
