Default CF hood <Q> any problems without using hood pins?

i will be installing a CF hood tommarow and was thinking about pins or not. the new hood does use the stock latch but can it be trusted? onlything i am worried about is the scoop acts like a sail and i dont want it ripping the hood up.

PS: any tips on drilling the hood for the pins? and special buts or anything?

I would recommend putting a set of pins on it. I have one on my 97 Prelude and it also came with a latch. At about 55 mph, the hood would lift about an inch and a half! Better safe than sorry. I would recommend getting the Sparco locking pins. My hood was ordered from Fiber Images. Good luck!
