if we have a 3" inlet stock location turbo and a front mount, is that 5 points?
if we have a swaybar and coilovers, is that 3.5 points? With this system our STOCK class time attack car ends up in unlimited |

Will a 3'' flange welded to stock catback/ or running an adaptor still cost you .25? That would be enough to bump me out of street..
EDIT: do brembos on my forester fall into aftermarket? |

If you have the STi type brembos, that counts as OE. But brembo also makes a racing type 4 piston which will count as aftermarket. We might bump the street class to 5.5 or 6 points.. |

Taking the 0.25 points for OE lip OUT ! 0.25 = cone type Air filter 0.25 = aftermarket header 0.75 = test pipe /downpipe 0.25 = cat-back exhaust 1.00 = non-coilover suspension and/or Aftermarket swaybar 2.50 = coilover suspension Total is 6.50 points, This should be street class imo, so should adjust points system based on this sample if you guys are on the same page with me.. let me know.. cenk |

So the 850 shipped Megan coilovers will count the same points as JRZ 3-ways competition coilovers?
How about some power limits? like 300whp for street, 380whp for mods? We can't just edit the s2k rules a little for awd cars because 90% of s2k track guys run at stock power level and they are fast. Plus Ed Lee and Jaku Huang spent a lot of time to create the s2k rules, maybe our awd folks are just lazy? |

this is kinda crazy. my car is in mod class with these rules. but i know that other mod class cars would destroy my setup.

adding an intercooler shouldnt be counted as 2.00
putting a big tmic without a bigger turbo on an STi is 2 points. a bit too much. you gotta move the limit of where street and mod is. i think your estimation of where it should be around 6.5 or 7 points would be perfect. allows for the "basic" mods, but nothing too extreme. so any wheel that isnt a identical to stock or has a higher offset is worth .5 points? |

^ yeah rules are sorta stiff for our cars. i think im around a 6.75 but at that rate i should just run R comps and try to get up to 11. theres a big gap from a 6 to an 11 car.
edit nvm. im at like 7.75 with my intercooler vince.. dinner attack. Last edited by STi-MAN; 11-23-2009 at 04:35 PM. |

My car came up to 14.75 points. Looks like I'd need a full cage. Not that I would feel comfortable running a track event without one.
Keep in mind there is a new RT-615 coming out soon that is supposed to be as good as the AD07 and the RE-01R. |

This is just a trial event..
if we have good attendance, speedventures will organize the series for 2010. just adjusted some of the points, but the street class total points are not decided yet.. will be 7 most likely, which should push the modified to 13 points.. let me know what you think guys.. regards, cenk |

I always believe that track folks are some nice ppl. Even in the big competition like RLT/SLB, I know that one top team in the unlimited class helped their closet competitor welding stuff on the track and another team gave a hand to an overnight engine swap for their competitor's miata in mod class. There are lots of examples like these. I am sure some of you know about them. It's just a little game for fun. If there's actually a person spent big$$ on his 500hp aeroed beast to win the mod class' 50 bucks Speedventures certificate, good for him. |

How about atleast 0.25 points for 2.5 wrxs?
And for passenger seat = 0.25 point, -0.25 point for wagon owner would be nice, too. lol Actually, the s2k guys have that rule because they dont have space in their car to carry tools and spare wheels/tires. I think we can edit as rear seats for our cars. Last edited by lemon19mmm; 11-23-2009 at 07:26 PM. |

There are many sti swapped cars. I would think 1.5 points(same as sti) for swapped GD and 1.75~2.0 for gc rsti folks. And yes, both ej207 and ej257 should be the same. ej207 8k redline with a good tune can be faster than ej257 on some tracks.
