Default Suspension Effects of 245/40/17 on stock '06 WRX Wagon?

Hey all,
I'm considering buying a wider set of used wheels & tires for my '06 wrx wagon. I'd like to know some of the potential hazards of doing so.

The almighty search button led me to several examples of wider tires getting more grip, but leading to more body roll. How else will this affect my overall handling, and how much extra stress will this put on my stock suspension?

My Stock Setup:
Suspension: OE
Tires: Potenza 215/45/17
Wheels: OE (17x7)

Potential Purchase:

Tires: Kumho MX 245/40/17
Wheels: Rota Torque 2 (17x8)

Your input is greatly appreciated; thanks!

I have 245/40/17 on 17x9 + 30 offset. It stuck out of the wheel wells and rubed some. You can see the line in the rear tire, about 3/4 of a in from the sidewall.

IDK you might be fine with the +48 offset that those wheels are.

245 seems too wide for 17x8 ... I would go 235s and you should be fine
