Default Couple stolen Subi's found in North Jersey off rt.80

Sad, but whoever owned the one with the cage might be able to ID it so I'm posting this here.
Looks like it was a pretty serious cage too.
This was found on a powerline easement near Rockaway off Rt.80
Someone probably backed into the powerline easement and pushed this off the back of a truck.
Found while my buddy was mountain biking.
I saw another site off 287 last year that had a big stash of WRX parts, but it was visible by the road and the parts have since been removed.
The police were notified about the current find though.

The blue one was an STI as ID'd by the sticker on the door.

It's whole cars, 3 I think. But by whole I mean whole shells. The only "parts" left were the heater box and a master cyl. The rest is cut up chassis and damaged body parts

it looks like body shops (AKA-CHOP SHOPS) are doing it by the way the parts of the cars are meticulously cut up and once done with are dumped off of wreckers !!

this was a big big problem in new york in the 80's and 90's
one of the ways the police cut down on this big time was a constant inspection of all body shops cars in garages and inspection for paperwork to all body parts allocated to customers cars !. constant stops to tow drivers requesting correct paperwork for the vehicle being towed.
it's very obvious that new jersey needs to follow suit to new york city methods .
NYC hasn't completely rid it self of chop shops but they are constantly being busted do to this very affective measure.
unfortunately a few bad apples give body shops a bad name !

Sometimes the owners of the shops have no idea whats going on cause it sometimes turns out to be a couple of employees using the companies wreckers to do there own dirty deeds.

I'm sorry to say as you all know nj is a very corrupt state so until the people of the state rid the corruption is when the people of NJ rid themselves to one of the most dangerous places in the U.S. to own and drive certain vehicles .

did you ever see that documentary cocaine cowboys? the guys in the 80s bringing in a lot of coke, they'd put it in the trunk of a car, started a towing company, and towed the car with the drugs to wherever, they'd leave the junked car most of the time.. they were able to falsify records.. they never once had an issue.. usually when you see a tow truck with a car you think NOTHING of it.. well at least i dont

tekfoc, i bet this would stop more if people who were getting their car fixed demanded receipts and everything for all the parts.. but still you could jus B.S. those if you were that serious about it

YES YOU MAKE A VERY GOOD POINT !

I personally have seen industrial area's ! (blocks) scramble when the police would show up for inspection of there shops !
It really really is a very large underground black market weir all automotive business profit ! except the consumers. (the little people)

kids are also paid thousands of dollars (very poor kids from housing projects) too steal these cars and bring in one piece to the chop shops.
then you have the market of stealing the vehicle and sending it whole to south America in containers for big big bucks .

WE as consumers have to force the manufacturers to make these vehicles impossible to steal !
good example was of a car with on star in the news. The police requested on star to shut the vehicle off during high speed pursuit on star complied CHASE OVER ! . This technology can easily be implemented that the vehicle is only able to operate under the owner or permission of the owner .
this would prevent so much high speed dangerous pursuits that is so common in NJ .

Plasma cutters will make Lego's out of a chassis after they are done stripping the car down for parts.
