09, 10 WRX owners chime in plz

hey guys,

thinking about throwing some OEM STI gold brakes on the front of my car. just wondering if anyone has done this yet and matched up 18 inch Rotas with that? my curiosity lies with how heavy they must feel. i have stage 2d my car but dont want to lose too much acceleration. if anyone local has a set of 04 OEM STI wheels i would be interested in those as well. thanks,

just a ? y would u want to do this? the 09 brakes are great just get some pads and ss brake lines the brembos are just gonna add weight

Well I don't know if I'd call the 09+ WRX brakes "great" but they're ok.
I agree though, I switched out the stock pads for Hawk HP pads when my car had only 200 miles on it.
Might of only helped stopping distance marginally, but better feel and less fade resistant for aggressive street/canyon driving (and about 1/2 the dusting of OEM pads too).

If you plan to track the car, I'd go with track pads and SS lines and better fluid though too.
