Default trackHERO 2015 STi and our path to 700+WHP

I had started a thread in the member gallery on the car but am feeling this is a better spot for it as we are going crazy on the motor build and are teamed up with some amazing sponsors for the build of the car.

Here are the sponsors at this time and the parts we are working with
  • trackHERO: Main sponsor
  • BC Racing: prototype coilovers (debut at SEMA)
  • Volk Racing: TE37 in Hyper Red (only 6 sets in this color in the US)
  • Bridgestone Motorsports: Potenza RE-11
  • Cobb Tuning: Cobb AP, Lightweight Pulley, Battery tie down, Oil cap
  • Brian Crower: Stage 2 cams, titanium valve springs, valves, I Beam Rods w/ARP 2000 bolts
  • Garrett turbo: GTX3576R V-Band with T4 housing - small lag with big boost
  • CP-Carrillo: 10:1 Pistons 99.5 with upgraded .200 wall 9310 steel pins
  • Clutch Masters: Newly designed Twin Disk clutch (not available to public)
  • Invidia: Q300 cat back exhaust for the 2015 STi
  • Reeves Subaru of Tampa: Making sure the trackHERO STi gets to SEMA and back in one piece
  • VSR Motorsports: Stage 2s block with closed deck, polished heads, balanced crank
  • Braille Battery: Lightweight Lithium battery
  • MicoMotorsports by Diego: Full build
  • ProSport: Gauges, Titanium Heat Wrap, Headers
  • Redline Design: Custom wrap
  • Radium Auto: Multi-Pump surge tank and Multi-pump FPR
  • Injector Clinic: 2150cc injectors and high flow fuel rails
  • Perrin Performance: Motor Mounts, Tranny Mount, Pitch Stop, EBCS, 4 bar MAP sensor, AOS
  • ETS: FMIC and piping
  • Killer B Motorsports: V2 Oil pan, pick-up, and baffle
........more to come

Other parts that will be part of the build
Tial BOV
Tial WG
Cosworth bearings
ARP +625 Head bolts

The heads are done and motor is almost back together. We are hoping to make over 700whp and will make updates along the way.

I purchased my 2015 STi from Reeves Subaru. Hands down the best dealer I ever purchased a car from.

They are a great dealer and I love the Motorsports showroom. The car will be in there for a couple weeks after SEMA. Everyone is extremely nice there and always make sure you are taken care of.

Cobb speed density is godlike. Stock ECU pulling +700whp and runs smooth in any weather condition (I'm at 570whp with SD for the past 2 years )

Great build, that's my next turbo for sure

But over 700whp on a gtx3576? The gtx35 with a .82 hotside would barely do that, it was hard to believe when the aq t/a sti claimed to make over 700 on that turbo

Your going to see more like 550 maybe 600 max on that turbo (in my opinion) no matter your shortblock or head mods, the turbo size can only flow/breathe so much

The point of that turbo (which is why I want) is you make almost as much as a 3582, but spool damn near a 3076, my current turbo, always around 36-3800, never made over 460 or so. Keeping that Powerband down low and raising peak hp to an extra 1-150whp

Your title 700+ (to me) sounds more like 40r territory

Only time will tell. Going to see what it can do with the current set up.

We are working with Garrett on bigger turbos at the moment as well to make more power

You'll make 700whp on a dynojet with a GTX3582. HTA86s push mid 750-800whp maxed out
