Finding Cold Air Intakes for new Impreza's NON TURBO

I have found a few CAI around online but was just wanting to see if anyone new of any others? Also any websites or links to places where they have parts for the 2008 and up Impreza non turbo's.

Getting the wrong intake could adversely affect the performance of the vehicle. You need to troll the technical boards for more info. Just buying any old intake could cause engine damage over time.

The reason why you aren't finding many is that there aren't many out there. Rallitek sells an AVO intake for the non-turbo Impreza, but so far no one has bought on and reported back on it. No one seems to want to be the guinea pig for that one.

Last time I looked into it the consensus was that the OEM Subaru intakes were actaully pretty good and that a CAI or SRI wasn't going to buy you much. Most of the folks who have gone ahead and installed one report noticable loss of low-end power with a gain of high end power.

Deltableh, on this board and at 3gwrx.com, has a CAI on his '09 2.5i hatch. But he also had it dyno'ed and tuned with the NA Accessport. When they tuned his car, the tuner found that running with the CAI mde his car run very lean. Not good. If you do get a CAI, consider going all the way and getting an accessport and a tune.
