I wouldn't take anything WRXsleeper says too seriously, he has never said a positive thing about any dealer anywhere. Seems he has had bad experiences at all of them if you check out all the dealer reviews, must have nothing better to do with his time....go beat your meat some more you geek...btw I don't work at a dealership. I'm just an astute observer.

wow just wow, seem like you do or did work for a dealer. I guess you never heard of a search button which does not surprise me cause you don't have to be smart to sell cars, just a really good BS artist.

Yeah, and we all were born yesterday and believe everything you claim.

SubaruJohn has been a member since 2002 and has less then 25 posts... all of them in the DEALER forums. Since his integrity is so low, I suggest that we stop taking anything he posts especially seriously.

Angry Manchester Subaru refuses to give me my key and keyless entry!

The owner is refusing to give me my key and remote key fob to my car!
I purchased a brand new vehicle with 0 miles from Manchester Subaru. They stayed open late to finish the deal. It had been sitting for a long time in the showroom before I arrived and the battery was dead.
The service department decided that it would be best to charge the battery of the vehicle before I took delivery of it. And so, they took the vehicle outside ad let it run for an hour or so with one of the two keys and one of the two remote key locks in it.
I sat down with the salesman and proceeded to purchase the vehicle. One of the keys and the key fobs was on the table and in my possession at that time. While this was happening someone from the service department moved the vehicle from beside the service department door to a new position in the parking lot.
He then removed the key and the key fob , closed the service department, and went home.
I went to the vehicle and found that the key and the key fob was missing. The salesman (raymond dick) stated that it wouldn't be a problem and that they would get me the key and the key fob. - That was three months ago and the key and key fob/remote hasn't been located or replaced - I was told that the owner doesn't want to replace my property (the key and the remote are expensive to replace) and this has happened before.

I want my property. Either the keys were lost or misplaced by the employee there or stolen by him.

I am contacting The Better Business Bureau before I contact the police department. - If I file a police report that the key and remote was stolen by an employee, my insurance may replace them.

Any other ideas?

Angry Service dept guy lost or stole the key and fob to my new (0 miles) car

I bought a new car from them and after the purchase one of the service employees moved the car and went home.
-The key and keyless entry fob haven't been seen since.
- They now refuse to replace them
I was told that the owner is angry that it happened and that it has happened before. I think that if the owner wants to teach someone a lesson, teach the employees not me.
- i contacted the better business bureau and SOA
- next stop is the Manchester police department to file a police report for stolen keys and the fob. My insurance might replace them.

Don't know what to tell you. You shouldn't have even left with the car if it didn't include everything you signed for. I've had places forget to put my tire lock back in my car but got a call that the tech forgot it on his bench or something, no big deal. Pay the 50cents to get the key copied ( i don't even know what an 08 key looks like) and buy a fob off of Ebay. You've lived without it for 3 months and how do you know some punk from Wendy's didn't walk over and swipe the key, no dealership covers private property while your car is in thier possesion. Your sales guy should have delt with it that night or the next morning.

Angry

A new laser cut key is $120 and the fob is $75 and $40 to reprogram it.
The salesman hasn't taken care of it as of yet. He should have dealt with it and it hasn't been dealt with.
Everyone at the dealership and SOA is shocked at the owners non-action.
I have made at least 2 calls a week to them about it.
Like I said , the dealership is trying to punish me because an employee lost or stole the key and fob.
I was told to call their attorney general.
