Default Prepping for Turbo Kit

I own a 2008 2.5i NA Impreza and I have plans of turbo charging it. this is going to be more of a long-term project and since AVO has a turbo kit in development, I thought it would be a good idea to start beefing up my engine? does anyone know (preferably from experience) what engine upgrades i should do to better prepare it for the added stress of a turbo charger? (cams, valve springs, pistons etc.) I would buy a wrx but I plan on keeping this car for a long time so please none of the "just get a wrx comments" as those will not help me. if you have any good advice, please share your knowledge with me as it will be greatly appreciated.
