Im a huge fan of 20g8cms power band and ability. Nice paarts list too.

Im gonna aim for that kinda power. Id switch to hp+ pads, and go EWG personally. oops.

awesome setup - I bet it's a blast to drive everyday. The sounds of that turbo must be sweeet.

I've been planning to run a similar setup down the road. Are you on the stock clutch?

Your clutch WILL fail. It's not a matter of if, rather, it's a matter of when.

My stock 06 WRX clutch (20,000 miles before the swap) was slipping with my VF39 setup w/ around 330 ft/lb of torque. Took all of about 2,000 miles for it to start. Got so bad that I couldn't WOT in any gear above 3rd.

Start saving...

I wouldn't recommend it, but my stock clutch and tranny held 343whp / 416wtq when I was running a VF48 on race gas. I even cut a high 1.7 60 foot and ran a 12.2 @ 113. I'm at 35,000 miles now and currently running a 20g and I'm still on the stock clutch, I've been making well over 300wtq for the last 20,000 miles.

oh don't worry.. I'm basically waiting until something breaks. I know it will not last forever, but I want to go as long as I can.

He didn't mention anything about any kind of boost controller. I know some people can work magic on the stock ones, and some people can't.

Do you have a chart with boost on it too, or a 3rd gear log you can post?

That really depends on your driving style. I run a VF39 on my 07 WRX, tuned by Tim Bailey 290whp and 335wtq. The car has 65,000 miles on it and 45,000 of them are with this tune/turbo. I still have the stock clutch and trans. The car is daily driven and has been auto crossed. Absolutely no signs of the clutch failing or slipping. That goes the same for the trans.

Nice numbers by the way. I would like to start upping my HP some more, I think the 20g is the way to go.

So about what would the HP be on a mustang dyno? Not to bash or start anything, just curious
