Unhappy FS: White 2002 WRX

That's right, I'm selling my car regrettably...
I love her but she's getting replaced by another.

Current specs:
- 2002 WRX sedan, Aspen white
- About 12,000 miles (mostly highway)
- Tinted front and rear windows (30%, not too dark)
- Blitz Dual turbo timer/boost gauge
- Kartboy shifter and bushings
- Momo airleather knob
- Subaru car cover
- Warranty obviously still in effect
- no accidents

(Had more mods but put them back to stock)

I'm asking $20,500.

I have taken meticulous car of this car and have every receipt and even have log of mileage from every gas-up. I have changed the oil religiously every 3,000 miles. The car has been garaged most of it's life.

For pictures check out http://www.mattdesmond.com/wrx/

Please email me at matt@testpilotcollective.com if you are intrerested and we can set up a time for you to view it.

All you people that I have met from the club are the coolest, and I will be sure to stick around the club even after my subie is gone. You all rock!!!

Well, I may just end-up driving my crx for a while, If I can fix it cheaply.

But my plan is to get a 2002 or '03 A41.8t Quattro.
Same car as the rex, just smoother in every regard...

Indeed, that's why I chose it.

I had a black car before and it was unruly trying to keep the frickin thing clean.

You "have" driven the A4, right? Its not the same car, at all. Except its an AWD sedan and turbocharged. But the similarity ends about there.

Absolutely. Do not get the A4. Such a waste of money if you ask me. I do not like that car. If you want something comparable, you would have to spend more money. A used S4 is comparable. The WRX is considerably faster than the A4. But, if you like it, get it.

I did drive the A4, that's why I want it.

I'm a designer by trade, and the A4 appeals to me more now than the WRX does.

It may have a few less ponies under the hood and be a little heavier, but the overall driving experience I had with it was way better. (and you can fix the power issue easily :-))

The WRX is a fun and fast car, but I'm going to get a car that's a bit more refined.

If you haven't sat inside or driven an A4, don't, because you'll want one.

Well, each to their own. Aside from the handling capabilities, chassis, and the car's power, there are many other things that factor into the car itself. I'm not saying either car is bad or greater than the other. It just all comes down to the philosophy of "whatever you're happy with, get it." One guy may choose the A4 for it being a higher class sedan with a moonroof, leather, wood trim, factory HID lights, or whatever fancy stuff that an Audi or whatever European luxury car can offer on top of the refined turbo powerplant and their all wheel drive format. Another guy would choose a WRX for it's raw, gutsy turbo powered boxer engine, simplistic, yet somewhat stylish interior with Momo goodies, rally car inspired suspension, it's variety of aftermarket parts (for the tuner heads like us), maintenance costs, the Impreza's distinctive exterior styling, and the cost of owning one versus a vehicle that's obviously around $8-10k more (A4).

Actually, it's only going to cost about 4k more.

That's why I'm switching.

Not to mention 4 years of free service (I'm guessing I'll actually save money by not having to pay for service...)

The A4 is much more than gadgetry. Sure, it does have some of those luxury items which is why I'm not getting a 3.0, wood trim = blech. Maybe I'm a person that just looks at things closer than others, but the attention to detail on the A4 is second to none.

I don't want to argue, I love my WRX. I just found a better car IMHO.
