Cool What engines will fit in my Subaru

I have a 2000 Subaru Impreza with a 2.2L engine with no turbo. I wanna swap the engine with a wrx engine or something. What year and model engines would fit my car?

i mean i've seen 914s with subie engines.. how about a twin turbo porsche motor in a WRX?

We don't dump money into this hobby to just buy an already fast car... We do it because we like to tinker, we want to be different, we want more...

if they have it in theirs, it'll fit in YOURS!!!!!

You want to "swap the engine with a wrx engine or something. "
I have a '06 WRX swap in the process...built motor. I also have an EG33 Impreza swap I am now driving VERY recently.

EG33 = You move the radiator

Almost everything else fits.

Put a 1.8 in it, but turbo it.

Will a 1.8 turbo be more powerful than my 2.2 NA and by how much. I think im running around 150 hp right now.

A 1.8 turbo will make as much power as you tune it to make.

The 2.2 NA made 130 hp at the crank stock. If you've got some goodies on it, you might have 150 hp at the crank though.

If you're looking for decent power and don't mind rewiring the car (or dealing with splicing wires!) put in a 2.0 WRX motor and transmission.
