Default CEL p2444 secondary air pump??

my 06 wrx is stock and i was wondering if there's anyway i can get the CEL removed without having to remove my air pump system and have an AP to delete the CEL. The dealer wants $1300 for parts and labor. I'm not even sure if i want to keep my car but i do know that i won't be able to sell it if the CEL is on. Any help would be appreciated

Hello your dealer wants 1300 bucks but for what exactly? do you have the description of the various pieces to change? maybe you need to change both valves?
I'll going to the dealer tuesday because i have this cells P1410 and P2444, so after i'll going to tell you what the dealer said maybe it could help a member with the same problem

bye

...anyone who tried to put a catch tank between the valves& pump ( so the water gets filtered out before it reaches the valves), and tried to put the pump upside down, so water won't enter the motor(which will make it seize eventually)???
Just an idea, but it might be a rather easy fix for what is an obvious design flaw...
