Allen, you're a pretty good camera man. Maybe we could get two video cameras and do some editing. The in car vids at that location are pretty good. It has relatively good lighting compared to some of the past clips. Which way was better? Coming at the camera or going away? In one of the clips you can actually see Min go by into the dirt area and here someone in the background say, "Oh, *****!"

Nice training videos.

Usually when I shoot at night depends on the lighting on whether it turns out good. Sometime I use nightshot. I used to attend alot of drag races when I was a kid so I got my start shooting there.

All of those vids were done without nightshot with the exception of the incar with gregg and the lightning vs gregg. I had a couple of more clips but the focus was messed up, good videos aremy "pet peve"...gotta have good clips.

I think coming at the camera is good in a way but it really doesnt show who is pulling who until the cars get right up on you, because half the time the headlight glare is too bad. I think half course would be good setup, get coming and going.

Oh well...there is always next weekend.

The Camaro v Lightning was with nightshot? It looked good. I thought it was because of the street lights. I think if you had two cameras one for the launch and the finish then you could edit them together to have one smooth clip. Probably more work then it's worth.

Only think I would need would be another firewire capable camera, cause that is what I do my cutting with. Just make one clip for the camera at the start and switch over in the middle to the top end camera. Might be a slight 1/4 second delay but it would be cool to play with.

Yeh dude that is the way to do that. Looks kind of "pro". You could always send me clips too and I could splice them together.

No, that isn't Min in the latest clip. That's Gregg's Camaro and Ed's Lightning.

That's exactly what I was talking about. Damn, you work fast. So, what's the late night production company going to be called? Maybe you could incorporate a tripod in the middle of the road for high speed pass video with the multiple angles. Would a night filter help with the illumination?

After reviewing the training video clips , I can see my launches need work. I think with a good launch my car is as fast as Min's to 70 but after that he keeps pulling thanks to the Unichip. Min has gotten better at the launches.

You're just going to have to wait until the video comes out or come out on the weekend. Look for the Midnight Sun Racing videos. They should be on the shelf by August. I feel bad. I was supposed to call Paul. He said plan on going out this weekend. As the days get longer, we should be able to get some good video with the increased sunlight.

We could have had the stoned guys for some commentary. That would have been funny. Damn we should've got Gregg's burn out on video, too!

Did everyone pick up some radios?

TurboXS vs Vishnu Stage0 - Launches almost the same depending on driver but after the middle of 3rd gear it seems Min's car starts to walk away. And Winslow......he can play with the red hatchback with the bling-bling rims.

The stoned guys that were riding their bikes. They sat on the corner cheering for everyone. Do you remember the guy saying, "Toke don't choke!"

I think you all will be suprised on how hard gregg's car will hook on a sticky tire, Think he cut some 1.8 60ft's last year on Nitto's Traction doesnt exist in his car in 1st and 2nd. From my vantage point he was pullin min's car pretty hard once he stopped spinning, both times min got out on him by multiple car lengths, and gregg was coming by him at the finish line.

Gregg's car runs 112 mph in the 1/4 @12.7's spinnin in 1-2. I think Min's car would run about 13.4@ 102-104 mph, thats just my guess though.

Next weekend should be fun, I have camera will follow...wherever the action is at.
