Default Carbon Fiber tailgate opener cover.

So i found this on ebay and messaged the guy on there to see if he has any or could get them made for the Baja since mine is cracked. Still awaiting a response.
I encourage anyone else interested to message him and hopefully we can get some CF goodies for our Bajas.

This is actually a Subaru OEM part made under their SPT division.

The vendor is just a reseller and probably has nothing to do with manufacturing.

Well he replied about a week ago and yeh its an OEM SPT part.

I emailed the guys at MAcarbon though to see if its something they can or are willing to do seeing as they have a custom section on their website. Offered to send my cracked piece as a template. Also gave them the rough dimensions so that they can hopefully provide an estimate.

Will see what happens..

Hi Jean,

Thanks for your enquiry; the Subaru Baja is a very cool little car/truck. I love the Baja turbos…they are very quick!

We could laminate a new factory part for you in carbon for about $275-$325 but we can’t form up a new piece in full carbon because we have a long list of parts that we haven’t been able to get to making yet and our molded carbon staff is very small.

Lamination is the way that all (Porsche, Mercedes, Lamborghini Gallardo, BMW and more) interiors are made and the Carbon adds about 1.1 millimeters to the existing part.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I will get back to you right away.

Best regards,
Lane
