Default mod lists

Ok guys thinking about upgrading my turbo here pretty shortly thinking of going with either a dom 3 xtr or a perrin 3076 rotated kit. what my question was is what all supporting mods do you need to do this. I know there is short lists but i don't want to go out and buy parts tear down my car and find out that i need a oil line extension and i've seen lots of mod lists on here but i have a sneaking suspicion that they are not including all of the parts that are needed any help would be greatly appricated My car is a 09 wrx 5 door that at the moment is completly stock

if i'm in the wrong section please redirect

You'll need a new clutch VERY shortly after installing that, and not much longer after that, a new transmission. That is a pretty big turbo for the stock gears, so I hope you have plans to replace some drivetrain components. As for small stuff like oil lines, you'll probably want to talk to the manufacturer of the turbo, as they should know what all is needed to complete the install. Oh, and the obligatory TUNE.

P.S. I do believe that this is in the wrong section, so IBTMove.

if you buy a turbo kit from some then you should get all the necessary lines.

You would need a Perrin 30R kit plus....

- headers
- the rest of the exhaust besides the downpipe
- fuel rail
- injectors
- boost control
- fuel pump
- clutch
- gauges arent a necessity but i would recommend them

tranny probably wont go long....especially if you run meth or higher octane gas. my 5 speed crapped on a vf34

motor probably wont go long either.

basically the moral of the story is if you wanna mod that heavy dont start with a new wrx.

figured on having some issues like that if i ran everything up to it's potential but my plans were to keep it to around 20 psi or less until the built motor and gears went in ( although i may try my stock gear box a while the 09 is supposedly pretty strong and have heard reports from lgt holding together at the track with 400 + whp

i would go with a smaller turbo..... unless you want to add $3,500 for a new tranny to your mod list as well....

audiosavvy will move it.....

just realize what you're getting into. You're going to be $20k deep into a $25k car......and you wont get it back if you decide to sell your car.

I don't plan on selling the car but i was thinking more like 10 or 15 but i figured it was better then going out and spending my money at the bar the way i used to and from what i've been told the next turbo to step up to after a vf52 is a gt 30 size anything less isn't worth the money

well.....the 18g, 20g, HTA68, gt3071, fp green, sz49.....there are a bunch inbetween.

if i were gonna go from scratch.....i'd go straight to a twin scroll full race setup.
