Hella 550FF Cracked

Great, looks like one of my foglights cracked from the heat overnight.

Anyone have experience with the customer service at Hella for warranties?
If not, what can I do to prevent the fracture from getting bigger? Epoxy?

Toss it and get into teh habit of shutting off the lights when the car is stopped.

Lemme guess..you had 100W bulbs in there, too?

Don't assume.

They are 55W CPI Golds.
They were not on when the car was off, they can be turned on using Acc mode, but why would I do that?

I happened overnight, and it was pretty cold here this night, I'm assuming that's what did it. That or maybe a small rock chip seeded the hairline crack when the weather got nasty last night.

You said they were cracked from the heat. I didnt say anything about the car being off..I said stopped. When youre at a stoplight do you shut off your car?

Youre supposed to shut the lights off anytime theres no airflow over them..

Ah I see, Touche.

I did do a lot of city driving recently...
But no 100ws. I didn't think 55w would do that much that quickly.
Ordered a spare off of Amazon, and some plastic film too just in case.
*sigh*

Do you think I can put some packaging tape over the crack in the meantime. Would that hold?
