How do you take apart the mirrors?

I just got some heated mirrors but they aren't the right color, they were a great deal on ebay.
I can't seem to figure out how to take them apart so I can either, transfer the heated mirror parts into the casing on the ones I already have, or take them apart so I can paint them to match.
I tried prying the glass off but that doesn't seem to work and I don't want to try any harder otherwise I might end up breaking the glass.
Has anyone repainted the mirrors or taken them apart? If so, how did you get them apart?

I think you'll have to have them professionally painted.

well I just recently took my mirrors off (sort off) to fix a wobble problem. Sadly there are all kinds of wires that come out of the mirror and going into the door that make it impossible to completely remove the mirrors without actually taking the door apart first. Get a repair manual to see how to go about that.sorry man, its not an easy job.
