Question How does this sound???

I am looking for 17 inch tires for my 00 RS...I want to eventually run Leda coilovers and lower it a bit. I was thinking originally that I wanted BBS wheels or Sti wheels made by BBS that look like 22b wheels but they so expensive. I want a light wheel and no rubbing. I want to know what you guys think of running 17" Team Dynamics Monza wheels and have Bridgestone Potenza S-03's 215/40/17 tires on them. Is this good or will I run into rubbing problems when I take corners too fast and are the Monza's a heavy wheel?

I seem to recall reading / hearing that the TD wheels can be on the heavy side.

(no personal experience with the wheels)

That should fit fine. You could probably even go to 215/45/17. I run that size tire and get no rubbing on my Eibach spring setup. The Monzas are a very nice wheel, the aren't light, but they aren't rediculously heavy either. IIRC, they are somewhere in the 20-24 lb range in 17x7. The more important factors, to me are that they come in a nice offset, +50mm and are strong enough to not sweat driving around on crappy roads.

My $.02

how do they compare in terms of weight and strength to the Prodrive P1 wheels?
