Default Bought a 02 wrx with a 14b want to upgrade to vf39

Would be it be a simple bolt on or am I going to have to do a mess load of stuff since it has the t5-14b.

if you want to run a vf 39, your going to need at the least bigger injectors and a tune. you cant just slap the 39 on and call it a day

Ok well that didnt give me an awnser? I have 565cc pink injectors perrin fuel rails among other things so the car is qualified for the vf39 but I want to know if I have to buy anything to make it fit or can I just switch them out.

So I can take off the td05h-14b mitsu turbo and directly bolt on the vf39 with no problems. I really want to be sure before I do all this and it doesnt fit.

How did you find a WRX with a TD05H-14G?
Was that even made in the Subaru form factor?
I know some JDM Subaru's had a 16g.
TD05H-14G should be a square flange.

Funny how he's not very forthcoming with details about his setup but keeps asking the same questions... Dude, how are we supposed to know exactly what is going on in your engine compartment unless you tell us exactly what you have going on?

OK mod list time...

Greddy FMIC
HKS Bov
Perrin Fuel Rails
Sti Pink Injectors
td05h-14b turbo
It has a full turbo back system but I do not know what brand.

I havent even ran the car yet I bought it wrecked at an auction and im repairing it and my parts car had a vf39 but the exhaust system on that got destroyed.

If you need anything else ask.

Ok, it sounds pretty standard. My only concern would be the shape of the inlet and exhaust side of the turbo (I'm thinking twin-scroll vs. single like the rest of us mortals have) as being a different shape. But if it isn't like that, then a vf39 should pretty much be plug and play.

Anyone care to correct me? I am in no way an expert here, but this seems to be a common theme among subies. I can't imagine that the turbo would be THAT different

Well its not a td05 14b Mitsu so you should be a direct bolt on. I swapped a friends stock wrx turbo for a sti turbo, only thing that may be an issue is oil feed line I think.

It's more than likely a 16g which is better than a vf39. I have one on my car and it's making around 270 to the wheels. Find the numbers on the front and match them to the numbers on this list.

vf39 will have crack issues. 16G would be better and have more power. If spool is a issue maybe consider port and polish.
