Default 6262sp STi 11.5@113 with problems up top...420whp pump gas...Dyno vid & slips inside!

Hey guys so this past sunday we went to War of the imports where we took my STi on my new setup. With my car my first run I just let off on top of 4th gear right after the 1/8 mile running an 11.7@99 after that the best I ran was an 11.5@113 because when I shifted into 5th the throttle body wasn't opening completely and the car would not pass 5500 rpm this was on straight up pump gas even though I had this problem I kept racing and managed to make it to the final round taking 2nd place in my class. Thanks to JoTechPerformance and CMB-Tuning!!! Better times coming soon....

Check out this link:

I had to send mine back to AEM, the problem was fixed and the unit has been working flawlessly ever since. Good luck. You have a nice setup, it should be a beast when its all worked out

I'm interested in seeing what you put out with race gas and when you get the issue worked out. I'm thinking of this turbo, but with .82 AR. Why did you do with .63 AR on such a big turbo? What is the WTQ @ 4500, you can't see it on the pic?

What are your thoughts on this turbo?

We are anticipating around an 11.1 on pump gas and 500+whp and 10's on race gas. I decided to go with the .63 a/r since it was recommended both by my mechanic JoTech and tuner Colombia. I had seen an .82 a/r on others STi's not perform so well. I'm not sure what the wtq is at 4500.

I personally love this turbo it is making enough power on pump gas and it will make much more on race gas. The spool up is good for being a journal bearing, I daily drive this car without any problems whatsoever I would recommend this turbo!!!

I thought these turbos were duel ball bearing or does AMS use a variant of this turbo that is the same size?

They are stock modified injectors I bought them as 816cc never flow tested them though and yes a single walbro.

Soon I plan on throwing on some 1000cc, fuel rails and a fpr.

I cant wait to fix all the little bugs in this car and take it back to the track. Im sure JeankySti can get this car in the low 11's on pump gas and in the 10's after we do the fuel system!
