Default has anyone done? or know if....

there are any issues with installing 2.5l phase 2 dohc cylinder heads onto a 2.5l phase 2 shortblock?
I am working on a set of phase 1 heads...doing a mild port and polish and will be installing some delta cams ( unless someone has a good affordable alternative ) i have a perfectly serviceable phase 2 shortblock that i will rebuild if the heads will work...i already know the head gaskets line up perfectly...i am more concerned with piston clearances in the combustion chambers of the phase 1 heads...
i have pretty realistic expectations in terms of power and performance IF the combo will work
doing the work is no issue as i have more than my fare share of experience working on subies ( see my location on my profile )
the reason i'm asking is that I'm not as up to speed on the inner workings of some of the earlier N/A engines ...when i worked as a tech for subaru almost all I worked on was phase 2 engines and turbo models...my experience on the finer points of the turbo motors mod wise has been working @ EPIC motorsports with robbie

you would have better luck in the built motor discussion which is right below N/A w/ forced induction.

Phase II DOHC heads? Like, from a WRX?

As far as I know, and have built..... EJ25D heads (phase I) work well, make that really well, on the phase II bottom end.
