took a 32 mile cruise near my house today. Some nice winding roads and some nice straights with speed limits of 70mph. Also took the car down some long dirt roads near the wildlife refuge and seen some deer.

Took hwy 186 from 281 all the way to Raymondville today. We also took the forester deep into some trails by the " la sal del rey" refuge. There pretty wide curvy back roads over cattle guards. We turned around a few miles in, but would love to do it again. We might go hike out to that little lake tomorrow or find some more old dirt roads. ( maybe google earth some trails).

Also, the black 06-07 OBP STI in the way way back of Bert Ogden is not for sale. I asked to buy it today. But the sales manager said previous owner messed up turbo and it was a leased one. And SOA will not sell it retail... according to them.

I'm gonna try to come out this week. I had planned to last week, but go that crack in the window. So I didn't want to take the car back out of the garage.

But if he decides to trade in, I doubt Bert Ogden will keep it. They would probably send it off for whole sale auction like most of them. Now elsewhere, they might keep it.

But that's good that your able to get another one to show.
The most I've ever seen at a meet (in NC) was like 15.

Spotted another subie on the way to work today. However, it was just a 2.5I, but it was the Google Maps streetview car. Had a full sunroof a roof rack and a huge covered " camera stuff" on its roof. I was able to only snag 2 halfway decent pics.

I've got a Silver Bugeye sedan, and my buddy has a Sonic Yellow Bugeye wagon. I've also met a kid in Donna that has a 2006 STI.

I'd love to meet up w/ some of y'all anytime. I'm in the PSJA area.

As you probably have read or seen, the thread isn't as busy as others. And there's not a lot of activity..yet, as for as subarus in the valley go. However there are several who meet up weekly with another group of cars. They usually meet up around 9pm on Thursdays at Dickies on north 10th st and dove, just north of Lowes on the right. If you cross the tracks, you've gone too far.

I tried to make it out, but there's always something that comes up between work and home that I have to take care of.

I think sometime we should do a weekend cruise for those who can't make it out on thursdays, or to have more time to enjoy the ride.

I went to school at psja north. Haha does your friend with the sonic yellow bugeye wagon happen to work at Texas roadhouse? I used to see it there all the time and my friend knew a guy that worked there with a bugeye wagon with a carbon fiber hood.

Yeah, He used to work @ Ramirez Subaru too. I haven't talked to him in a while, but I did see him on Jackson and spanked him.

I'm planning on coming out on Thursday. But will have to see how this week goes. Its like every week something arises. As of right now, I'm gonna try to make it.

Selvaje, you and your buddies should try to come out.

Or if you guys already meet up elsewhere, let us know.

McAllen

Dickies is just north of Dove and 10th in the same plaza as Lowe's. You can either take 281 north to Trenton, dove, or Nolana. If you take the trenton exit, be advised that 10th street will say 336. Its the old highway name. Just head south until train tracks. Nolana and dove require you to head north.

If your coming from expressway 83 you could take 10thst
north but the streets are narrow and a lot of stoplights. Best way is to take 2nd (col. Rowe) then west on dove then north. Or bicentennial north to nolana. Head east to 10th, then head north to dickies.

Or google it. Haha

Hope to see you out this week.

There's a focus just like it in McAllen and I think it looks okay.

I was in the city truck. I was gonna head over and talk to you, but I seen you got down to business so I rolled out.
I had some work to do right there and was caught off guard seeing it there. Looks nice.

Dickies meeting spot was about 1 block south of where advanced is.

From what I know its gonna be around 9pm.... unless anyone else wants it earlier.

Anyone doing any mods at home on their car and want to teach or need help?

Might be headed to Delta Lake this weekend to bbq. Anyone else interested? There's some good dirt roads nearby and some nice long curvy paved roads as well.
