Its small, but once you test drive, its a whole other story. I was skeptical at first. But I drove it twice and really enjoyed the driving aspect of it. Fun small, decent on, gas, and fun.

I went to go buy the one at Cardenas tonight. Doing the finance, and the dude said our 2010 Forester XT Limited w/ fogs, sports bumper, sports grill, puddle lights, leather interior, sunroof and only 37k miles was only worth $15,500.!!!!!!!!!! Are you ****ing serious?

He said that there's not a big market for it, and it had some minor scratches and headlights looked a little yellow ?!?! And said it looked like some new paint on the.

We got $12,500 for my 2007 2.5x premium that had 45k miles on it. Also in great shape up north.

Said there's no market for awd. Half the bmws and mercedes they sell are awd.

I don't want one that bad. I told him that's bull****. Yeah the windshield had rock chip and crack and some door dings, just like every vehicle in the valley. I have a transferrable warranty that will cover all of that free of charge. But for it to be $8k below current market for one is absolute bull****!

The XT is fine as it is. So i'll keep it and enjoy the hell out of it, just as I was intending to when I had bought it.

So I still went home with a smile on my face knowing I have a rare set of Forester xt's I get to parked in my garage.

Enjoy the wide open emptiness of West Texas.

Seriously. I still remember when the 2011 WRX's came out, the "manager" at Bert Ogden straight out told me that the black WRX Limited sedan they had didn't show the $4000 market adjustment they tacked on. Then he told me that there were only 5 of that one and a WRB STI hatch in THE WHOLE FREAKING USA! Valley dealers are clown shoes because for the most part, where else are you going to go? Bert Ogden is the only game in town for us. Few people want to drive to SA or Houston; even less do it online. Hell, I was too lazy to go to San Antonio to get a Odyssey for my parents and got it at Clark in McAllen, even though a daytrip back and forth would have saved me about $1500. I'm am the problem.

It's probably old news by now but did anyone catch the GRC race last weekend? All the Subys ran like crap and got dominated by the Fords. Maybe because it was the first race of the season but Isachsen busted something off the line during his first heat and Mirra got pushed off the track in the finals by Heikkinen and had to abandon the car. Even the 07s from Burton and Rooney did poorly. Those Fiestas were pretty nasty, though. Wish I could make it out to Fort Worth next weekend.

$18k for the Touring? Really?!?! But mines only worth $15.5k?

Douchebags. I'm sure you read my rant.

Rally America has its event into hometown this weekend. My dad said they just finished up behind my house and across the hill, despite heavy rains and tornado watch.

My sister and her bf are headed out tomorrow to score me some swag.

Man I miss STPR week. Its the oldest dirt rally in America.

Guys, you have to think about where you live. It's one of the poorest areas in the nation, and everyone's goal when it comes to cars is to try and look baller. Therefore, everyone is going to want a Hummer/Escalade/300/Charger/Mustang/Camaro. There is a miniscule market for Subarus, much less the non-flashy turbo Foresters. So nobody is going to want to drown themselves in a car payment for a car that doesn't make them baller status.

Spot on. Throw in all the people rolling hard in a base model C-class or 328i.

What are you talking about I believe my car is pretty baller.. haha.. I can get a low interest and a HUGE discount on any GM car but, I doubt it would break necks like the WRX because everyone and their dog owns a GM car around here.. I doubt people would be busting out their cell phone at a red light to take a picture of a Escalade.. I do have to admit though the 5.0 Mustangs are a BEAST got to get a ride in one not to long ago..

The ONLY dealer around here that I have had a good experience with is Clark Knapp Honda.. Then again I was trading in a Honda they offered me 16k for my SI and Subaru gave me 14k they also came way down off of MSRP to work with me they just couldn't get the exact SUV I wanted so, I kept looking for something else.

I called SOA and told them about Bert Ogden and the douche bag at the Corpus Christi dealer and all I was told is they would put in a complaint against the two dealers.. At Bert Ogden I was told to calm down because the GM has a really bad temper (I was in utter shock..) The salesman was worried the GM was going to come outside and blow up at me.. WTF kind of crap is that?? They were all sweet until they ran my credit then they became douche bags.. SOA told me the 2013 WRX will be out in Aug so, I will be saving up and more then likely trading in the car but, I will be going to Houston where they have competition

Yeah, so do I. And maybe even a few people who actually know a thing or two about cars in the Valley think so also. But the overwhelming majority of people there are poor, ignorant fools that want "well known" cars because if they stray from the norm, they're afraid they'll look poor.

I was suprised when the dealer said there was no market for awd or subarus. Seems as though most wrxs don't last long on the one Subaru dealer we have down here. And that I get asked about my vehicles quite often.

But your right, I don't have a dropped chevy and i dont buy everything with a Lonestar card. I'm not one of those ignorant poor fools.

I have a Subaru. I guess that means I'm different. Oh, well.

My family and I have had good service at Clark Knapp Honda, too. We have purchased two Odysseys and a Civic there and they've treated us well. The service department is pretty good too.

I am a lazy dude and I got my WRX online at Subaru of Plano. I didn't get one of those outrageous "$1000 below invoice plus free extended warranty and lifetime oil changes and car washes etc." that other people claim to have received but I don't have the energy to haggle and it was a pretty painless procedure. I got a good price on my trade in ($9500 with KBB about $10000-$10500; also didn't care to haggle) and they delivered to my door and picked up my trade-in. I'd do business with them again, especially considering the local alternative.

Nice, I will take note of that when it comes to purchasing my next Subaru.. I don't know why they say their is not a market for Subaru's according to Bert Ogden they can't keep inventory on the lot because the sales are so good (I guess that's why they think it's okay to treat those of us smart ones like crap). A house down the street has a WRX like mine but a hatch, a older model WRX in the garage, and what looks to be a fully loaded Impreza.. I wonder if they buy from Bert Ogden.. lol

I've been seeing a purplish 06-08 forester LL Bean in our sub-division area from time to time. So I asked the security guard right now and he said he lives a few houses down the street.

I bet if our local alternative had competition, things would be a lot different.

And what's worse, they didn't test drive it; hell, they didn't even turn it on. Just gave us a low ass offer.
