Default Don Beyer buying experience in Alexandria, VA

Wanted to give a quick review of my recent experience ordering my new 2011 WRX, and say thanks to Matt Nemetz at Don Beyer Subaru in Alexandria, VA.

I had started my search for a dealer to buy from by sending email to several of the local dealerships around Alexandria asking for pricing info as well as any perks the dealership offers. Of the four dealerships I communicated with (the other 3 being Stohlman, Sheehy, and Farish) I went with Don Beyer mainly on the very professional and informative email responses I received from Matt. He was able to beat my initial best offer from Farrish but what really sold me was his ability to answer all of my questions completely & clearly the first time (and without resorting to huge and/or colorful text) something none of the other sales people we able to achieve.

Matt was very helpful through the entire experience, put up with my incessant pestering of him with questions and went out of his way to make sure I was happy. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a new Subaru, and ask for Matt. He'll take great care of you.

Thanks for the warning! Though if your work is as good as folks say, I'm sure it'll be overlooked

Beyer's took care of me aswell, I would be interested in using their service department but Iam not driving over 100 miles everytime I need something done. Joey did a great job locating the car I wanted and they even had it shipped in for me. That's more than any other dealership in the richmond area would do for me.

Default Just purchased a 2011 STI from Matt

I just purchased a 2011 STI from Matt at Don Beyer. This is my second Subie i have purchased from Matt and I will be buying all of my future subies from DB. Matt is one of the most knowledgeable salesman I have ever worked with. He knows everything about Subaru and worked extensively with me on ordering and purchasing my STI. The best car buying experience I have ever had.

probably one of the worst dealerships I have ever been too!! the salesman was great! he was a 21 year old going through school and selling subarus on the side. Everything was going smooth until it was time for them to drive my old car and come up with a trade in value.

they took my car and i watched as they redlined it down the road, watched as they took it on a sharp turn. Watched as they looked under the hood and started to laugh in a very unprofessional manner. Then when they came back, and gave me the lowest estimate out of two other dealerships and carmax. I said thanks and was about to leave when I realized that a pair of expensive reading glasses fell from the cobalts mid console and were smashed in a bunch of pieces and found under the seat like they had been pushed under to hide the evidence.
I went back in to question what was going on and asked to talk to the people who drove it to at least get an apology but they looked at it and straight up said, it wasnt me as I watched the other person walk in look at the glasses and did a quick turn and left while the one guy was saying it wasnt them. Two of the biggest waste of life white trash people I have ever come across.
It got a little more heated when I asked to talk to a manger and they said he wasnt there and then proceeded to ask in a snide way, "how did your sale go today by the way.?" I wanted to punch this ****er in the face because he said it and just glared at me tryiing not to smirk.
I drove home not even wanting a subaru anymore, but luckily the dealership up north in silver springs was a godsend and very very very nice. I drive 40 minutes out of my way just to avoid this don beyer dealership. Wouldn't want them idiots touching my car.

this was around feb. 2012 so it might have gotten better. the dealer who i worked with who drove a mustang at the time was very awesome and helpful, as well as his direct manager who drove a silver wrx. 4 door. but overal it was ****.
I would have gone back too if they just said at the least, "my bad" and used the money from carmax.
