Default Exhaust system compatability for 2009 2.5i NA

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to know the following if it can be done with custom fabrication, as part of my UEL project on my 2009 2.5i NA Impreza sedan

I have a 2007 Legacy GT UEL and I am planning on getting custom fabrication done for it. Originally I thought I will get a 2008 to 2010 OEM WRX CBE from a sedan since it is a dual exhaust single tip configuration. However, I was offered a CBE from a 2008 WRX hatch for a great price and as it is single tip, I thought if would a custom fab job make it fit on my car?

I also have access to an Ultimate Racing downpipe from the same hatchback as well, and wanted to know if that would fit the "new" setup in my car?

I will be going to an exhaust shop that does custom fabrications in order to get this done.

Thanks.

messing with the hatch exhaust (IMO) is a waste of time and money. Sedan and hatch piping from after the header.

What are you trying to go for? better exhaust flow? I'm sure you could find a sedan exhaust from the forum, just gotta look and wait.

You could always just get a custom fabbed exhaust all the way through?

Buy mufflers/resonators/glasspacks/whatever you want separately, then have a shop fit it to your car. This gives you the flexibility of doing either single or double exit, while getting a unique sound. Cheaper than off the shelf systems, more expensive than the OEM WRX catback.
