Default How to silence "key in ignition door open" chime?

Anyone know how to silence this annoying little bugger? I realize that it is connected to the door switch on the B pillar. And the chime itself seems to be part of the instrument cluster ( ive had that out and tried to isolate it ) without any luck, for fear of breaking something vital. Short of splicing in a manual switch to turn it off, any ideas? Why? cause I don't like it, that's why. If I'm working on the car or cleaning the inside and have the doors open and the radio on, this thing keeps ding - ding - dinging away.

Turn key to "on" position. It'll shut up after a few beeps.

Turn off any accessories you aren't using like fan/headlights/etc to reduce drain on battery.
