Default 2.5 RS swap in 02 WRX...What is needed?

I have a 2002 WRX that needs a new motor because of spun bearings. I have a good opportunity to buy a 2003 2.5 RS motor for cheap. My question is what would all be needed to make this work. Would I have to use a 2.5 rs ECU?

Lol money is really tight. But I guess this would be the wrong route? I assume that the wiring harness would be really similar.

I get that money is tight but this is kind of a odd way to "save" money. You have a turbo wrx 2.0 motor and you want to drop in a n/t 2.5 rs motor? It will cost you money to make the swap and you lose in affect what is a WRX and turn it into a RS wagon for all practical terms. How much money are you really working with, can you do any of the work, are you taking the car to a shop? If its just a bad bottom end and the heads are ok, have you tried looking into a used short block or something along those lines?

spun bearing? Couldn't you just use the block from the 2.5 and reuse everything else from the wrx?

Yeah I have look at all the possibilities. But there is a 2003 2.5 RS motor for $300. I was thinking the cheaper the better since this is just a daily driver. The head cylinders are fine id assume. My funds are low as $500 lol. Just thought that the motor swap would be simple as swap in swap out. So the harness is completely different?
