I am new to the Baja world having received my 2005 Turbo with leather as a Christmas present this year. I only mention the leather as this option included the polished six spoke wheels and a few other things.

I am totally enjoying the ride. I wanted a small, fast pickup and the Baja is just the thing!

I wanted to say thank you to all of you who post in the forum. I am learning from your experiences. Since I have a warranty to 100,000 miles I will not be doing any performance mods that could affect the warranty. My Baja had 62000 miles when I received it.

The Baja had a few blemishes which I am correcting and repairing. I am almost there.

You could replace the airfilter with a OEM fit K&N one, spark plugs with NGK Laser Platinum ones and get some Hella Supertones for now. That shouldnt affect the warranty.

I recommend some HIDs too. But not sure how that might affect the warranty.

Oh, and theres the SPT battery tie down , oil filler cap and valve caps for a bit of dress.

I did add a set of Primacy™ MXV4® 225/60R16 98H last week. The tires that were on the Baja were smaller than stock and made by B.F. Goodrich. They were a little hard riding.

The Primacy tire provides a really smooth ride. I have not had a chance to check out the handling on wet surfaces, however, I tend to be a Michelin man. I considered the Potenza but decided to stay with Michelin.

I used to have to run a lot in sand (beach) in my job, but I do not have to do that now.

either get a flikr or similar image hosting account (most are free to a certain bandwidth of info) and then either post a link to the album or use the image button on here and paste the address to one pic.

for car stuff i like to start a cardomain page and you can link pictures from there or direct people to it, also in your NASIOC profile you can use it as your "home page" link.
