Default Version 2 Ultra Safeguard

http://www.safeguard.20m.com/orders.html

Does anyone know where I can find a place that sells these for less? Also I know the extra features for the version 2 are excellent, but are they worth the wait before they are redibly available? Thanx

These are really brand new -- I have one of the first 5 or so units produced and it's terrific. Also, even the older units really hold their market value, so you're pretty much stuck paying the (totally reasonable) list price on them.

Wouldn't the cheaper Knock Link do the same thing?

the knock link just detects ping, it will not retard timing for you. it is your duty to then adjust the timing so **** doesnt happen.

Yes, the Ver. II Safeguard does MAP-based retard, individual cyl. knock-based retard and has an adjustable voltage clamp (which is intended for use on the MAP circuit on MY00+ cars, but is really very flexible) It also does my laundry and makes whale noises when I'm stuck in traffic.

Yea the features of the j&s safeguard version 1 and 2 are really sweet, but 800 dollars for the version 2 + guages is quite expensive. In the end I'm probably going to get the version 2 without the guages to save money. I agree 500 bucks for the version 1 is a great deal.

1 Ch/ 2 ch? Does this mean version 2 ultra safeguard? You said going up to $525, on the site it says version 1 545 and version 2 595.

I also would like to say thank you for producing such an amazing product. This is exactly what the rs-t market needed to keep our mind's at ease and to help us keep our engines together!

The site is way out of date. Mostly Honda stuff up there. Anyone got a copy of Webmaster for Dummies?

The 1 CH/2 CH is a combo unit that can work on Subaru/Eclipse/late Miata in the two channel mode, or Honda, MR2, and early Miata in the one channel mode.

The V2 Honda MAP Limiter and boost retard was incorporated into the 1 CH/2 CH unit, as well as provision for a MAP adjuster AFC thingy.

Once the software is written for bigger injectors, I'll be able to load fuel and timing maps at the time of manufacture. The 1 CH/2 CH units already in the field can be re-programmed.
