open ECU big power..?

Has anyone made big power tuning with open ECU? i didn't know if it is even remotely close to ecutek or something along those lines.

I pulled 311 to the ground last night on a 16g w/stock tmic.... I would say that is pretty good. I would say that is 380+ @ the crank.

Open source is better IMO because the development is continual and you can tune nearly every aspect of your cars performance... It is also nice to be able to see how the factory computer logic works.

some have made 500+ with openecu

There are plenty of 500 whp cars open source tuned. You have it backwards. Ecutek doesn't even come close to romraider as far as number of tables to tune, features and ease of use.

I don't know if this constitutes big power, but I have made 410hp 451tq on a 04 sti with the factory ECU on a car I tuned. I did not get a chance to re run the car after cleaning it up a bunch more, it took 4th gears teeth off and then got parted out.

Sure was fun though!
