Smile Miller Motorsports Park Winter X Series Round 3 Jan 16th

This is a great way for new and experienced drivers to get out on the track! All that is needed to race is a Drivers License and Car!

Our next event will be Jan 16th 2010. Registration runs from 7:30AM – 8:30AM, with the first cars on track by 9:15 AM. All drivers must register/check in on the first floor of the Administration Building. Race Entry Fees are $60 + Tax, Spectators are free. Wintercross is a mix of Rally, Autocross, and Road Racing. Held exclusively on the world famous Miller Motorsports Road Course in Tooele, Utah. Combining all aspects of a driver’s skill to navigate a course unlike any other, the conditions of the track are left to nature, and the course of the day. Snow, Ice, Water, Slush, Dirt, Gravel, Mud, are a few of the conditions that can be encountered. Drivers must anticipate track conditions, speeds and tire choice in order to obtain the title of Wintercross Champion.

Drivers compete in a time trial type format. Winning place standings will be determined by taking 3 timed hot laps. The driver with the shortest combined time from the two fastest laps, including penalties, will receive 1st place, and so forth.

I was just on the MMP site. Looks like no food.

Am I seeing the pictures right? The pictures are on MMP's facebook page. No pavement showing?

Yes, I think that was just changed. Did you see that the results are wrong for December for you?

If your going tomorrow, bring real warm clothes. Last time the stinking fog came in and stayed all day. MMP is pretty close to the lake. And remember food!!

The Ace Café gets shutdown and winterized every Fall, make sure to hit it up come spring. They have the best track food I've ever had, no joke.

for it being my first time, I did pretty damn good. I was .4 behind the Audi A4 in the AWD class. So close to getting a medal. 4th woot! And that was on crappy "all-season" (essentially street) tires.

Yup.... Brendan was driving Greg's car... won the SAWD class with a non-turbo Impreza... That's impressive.

It was ALL about the tires that day. All the horsepower and suspension mods didn't do **** for me - LOL

In Greg's defense though.... it was his first time at the track, and I was on opposite groups, so I was working the track while Greg was driving.... he was tearing it up...... did a REALLY good job.

I came in 5th in the SAWD class.... and much like momo.... I was riding on 40%-50% stock 06 WRX Bridgestone all-seasons Considering... I'm just pretty happy I didn't crash.... much less do as well as I did LOL

If you didn't make it to this one.... you should definitely make it to the next one.... even if it is just as a spectator..... absolute BLAST.
