Default Techtom anyone????

Dont know if you guys have seen this before but it has been around for a while for the Z. It plugs directly into the dealer consult port and reads parameters directly from the ECU. Cuts out the need for a few gauges. It is suprisingly accurate. This place is offering them for the Z for $299 in a GB they just started. I asked him if he is going to be offering the WRX model. I will let you know what they say. If you guys are interested just let me know. These have gone for as much as $450 on Ebay because for a while they weren't available in the US.

Their site doesn't show too many specifications. Do you know what the refresh rate is?

it is instant. When a parameter changes this will tell you. It hook to the same place the dealer plugs in their computers do run diagnostics on the car. I borrowed one for a little while on my Z to monitor water temp. the water temp gauge in the insturment panel was showing wierd readings so I hooked this up to see what it was doing. It is very accurate. Besides, this is the way the dealer gets info about the car. I will find more info for you, i used to have a bunch but cant find it now.

Why I ask is because the software I use to monitor the car has a really slow refresh rate. I'm hoping to get the EcuTek DeltaDash setup if they ever come out with user adjustable settings. This will run on your Palm if you have one. The Techtom setup looks nice but I'll have to read more about it.

This does the same that poket logers that run on Palms do for DSMs and other cars. And ODBII cars have really slow refresh. That's probably why yours mighgt be slow Winslow.

I like the pocket logger set up that the DSMs run. There are similar systems out there for the WRX but the links are tied up on my POS laptop.
