I figured without a mill, the slide to frame fit alone would take me about a week.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. He wants a handgun. It might as well be a plinker, I've already talked to him about whether or not he should get a .22 handgun. The real question is, I've never heard of this gun, is it a piece of **** or should he spend extra money on a better but similar gun?

Haven't heard anything bad about this Austrian Glock competitor...
But $400 for a .22? Not worth it IMO. I do like how they added pickatiny attachments to it, so you can waste dollarbucks easier on an indoor range pistol.

On second thought, this one may be perfect for him:

hey guys,

took this little guy out on sunday for the first time since i added the stock

the muzzle device does a great job of keeping it flat on target - but its loud as hell and the precussion is intense

is there another 7.62 muzzle device that keeps it flat but knocks out some of the blast and noise?

what say you?

So this could stir up a commotion but... How do you guys feel about medical marijuana card holders and firearms? Obviously I'm not talking about some stoners with black market pistols, or getting all ripped and going out shooting like a retard, but rather highly educated, highly paid professionals who smoke on their on time, owning weapons. I have a friend ( u of a business grad, purchasing agent for multi million dollar aerospace company etc. )who is a long time gun owner, recently get his medical marijuana card. Because the medical marijuana is only a state law, he has heard stories of the atf coming in and seizing all the guns of people who have cards, (he says the state sends a list to the atf of all registered card holders.) I have never heard anything like this but, i figured I would share and get some opinions from legitimate gun owners.

Um, as far as muzzle brakes, there are about a million for your fine weapon there. Depends on what you like the look of and how much noise and shockwave you can handle I guess. And how bad you want to stay on target. Have you tried the -74 style? I know my Tantal was a bit louder than my WASR-10/63, I think because the brake pushed a lot of gases out to the side, whereas the weaksauce slant cut on the WASR just let everything go farward and right-ish. I would say try the -74 style, its probably going to be your best bet.

KX3 will reduce flash and keep you and those standing beside you from getting slapped by the muzzle blast but it won't do much to reduce muzzle rise like a muzzle brake would. I have run a KX3 on my AR 10 for several years and just switched to a true muzzle brake to help reduce recoil some on it. It is a noticible difference between the two and I think it's almost down to a AR 15 level of recoil.

The ATF has already addressed this issue. They few months back went to Washington and Oregon and did a gun grab for anyone that had the card and a firearm.

I'd just stay clear of that stuff.

I heard hear there is something in the Arizona state medical marijuana law about firearm ownership, but never really looked into it much.

Interesting that he is working for a "million dollar aerospace company" and smoking marijuana. I had to quit smoking marijuana being in a F.A.A regulated industry.. they really don't give a **** about whether you have a medical card or not, it would immediately cost me my licenses or ratings and career if I was to test dirty for marijuana, even if I had a medical card.
